WHAT I TEACH
Voice, piano, guitar, banjo and ukulele, as well as songwriting, vocal harmony, performance and recording technique. I also guide songwriting students through writing and recording their music.

ABOUT ME
I am a life long multi-instrumentalist, performer, songwriter, recording artist and home recording engineer. Through the years I have performed, recorded, and studied with many talented musicians and teachers who have helped me to develop a deep hands-on understanding of the instruments and musical styles that I teach.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching in the school system first and then transitioning to building my thriving private lesson studio. Music sharing is at the heart of my life and teaching is my chance to share the love I have for music. It is a joy to help a student establish -or reclaim- their musical expression. I am continually rewarded by witnessing a student’s growth and seeing the positive impact music brings to their lives.

TEACHING METHODS
I teach a wide range of musical styles, including classical, folk, jazz, pop, rock, country and world music. I meet students where they are and enjoy finding the place to begin each individual journey. I use the following traditional and intuitive teaching methods:
